1
Overview
Purpose and context

This document describes the procedures adopted by Teravent Limited for assigning Core Carbon Principles ("CCP") Approval tags and CCP Attribute tags to carbon credits that are issued, held, retired, or otherwise processed through the Teravent Registry. The procedures are based on the standards established by the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM) and are designed to ensure that every credit associated with Teravent reflects the highest levels of transparency, integrity, and alignment with global best practice.

2
CCP-Approval Tag Assignment
When and how CCP-Approval tags are applied

Teravent will apply the CCP-Approved tag to credits that originate from protocols formally recognised by ICVCM as meeting the CCP criteria. This applies not only to credits issued after a protocol has been approved but also to older credits generated prior to formal ICVCM approval, including credits that have already been retired.

When ICVCM specifies that only certain versions of a protocol are CCP Approved, Teravent will limit the application of the tag to credits issued strictly under those versions. Where ICVCM approval is conditional, Teravent will only assign the CCP Approved tag to credits that clearly meet those conditions.

On occasions where a single project uses more than one protocol, Teravent will only apply the CCP-Approved tag if every protocol being used has itself received formal CCP approval.

3
Assignment of CCP Attributes
Up to three additional attributes per credit

Teravent may also assign up to three additional CCP Attributes to eligible CCP-Approved credits. These Attributes relate to:

  • Article 6 Authorisation: Host-country authorisation under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. Teravent requires the project proponent to submit verifiable evidence that the host country has issued an Article 6 approval. If a corresponding adjustment required under Article 6 is not applied within two years, Teravent will remove the Attribute from the affected credits.
  • Adaptation Fund Contributions: Evidence that at least five percent of revenue from credit sales has been contributed to the Adaptation Fund, or that an equivalent quantity of credits has been transferred into an Adaptation Fund-managed account.
  • Positive SDG Impacts: Project proponents must submit a quantification assessment demonstrating ex-post, measurable contributions to one or more SDGs (except SDG 13). The methodology must be approved by Teravent and results reviewed as part of a VVB verification. All supporting documents will be published on the Registry.
4
Attribute Verification & Retroactive Application
Documentation requirements and retroactive eligibility

The responsibility for providing complete and accurate documentation lies with the project proponent. Teravent will only apply an Attribute once it is satisfied that all requirements have been met. Attributes may be applied retroactively to previously issued credits if adequate verification documentation exists. In such cases, Teravent will inform ICVCM once the tag has been added.

5
Oversight, Error Correction & ICVCM Cooperation
Accountability and supervisory arrangements

Teravent is accountable for ensuring that all CCP-Approval tags and Attributes are applied correctly and transparently. ICVCM retains supervisory authority and may conduct audits or request additional information at any time. Teravent will provide all such information subject to appropriate confidentiality controls.

⚠️ Suspension & Termination

If ICVCM suspends Teravent's status as a CCP Eligible programme, Teravent will pause all tagging and attribute assignments until eligibility is restored. If eligibility is terminated, no new credits will receive CCP Approval or CCP Attributes, though any credits tagged prior to termination will remain unchanged.

In the event that a tagging error is identified, Teravent will correct the error within five working days. Throughout ICVCM's assurance activities, Teravent will maintain full cooperation and participate in periodic reporting exercises.

6
Transparency
Public disclosure of CCP-related information

Teravent will ensure that all internal labels, statuses, or programme-specific designations used for operational purposes are clearly distinguished from CCP Approval and CCP Attribute tags, avoiding any risk of confusion among market participants. All CCP-related information - including protocol eligibility, attribute documentation, and historical tagging decisions - will be published openly on the Registry.
